After running the ScanDBX Mail Store File Scanner to correct any problems in your mail store files, you might discover a folder named "Recovered Email" on your desktop. This important folder contains copies of emails which were "lost" in your mail store files.
Because of the way in which Outlook Express stores its email on your hard disk, email messages which are themselves damaged (as opposed to simply being saved in a damaged mail store file) cannot be safely recovered from your mail store files. The ScanDBX Mail Store File Scanner can recover undamaged emails from damaged mail store files, but cannot recover damaged emails from damaged mail store files. Unfortunately, this means that some of your lost emails may never be recovered.
