Running Without Data Files

If your ScanDBX installation becomes damaged for some reason and the Troubleshooting Wizard diagnosis files are lost, you may be presented with the following message:

If you choose to continue running ScanDBX, you will be able to use the File Scanner and Email Account Tester, but the Troubleshooting Wizard will be disabled.

To correct this issue, you will need to do one of the following:

  1. Download new data files from by clicking “Check Now” in the “About” Dialog. For more information, see “About ScanDBX” in the Help Menu documentation.
  2. Re-install ScanDBX. You can get the most recent version of ScanDBX at Your 1-year service agreement for ScanDBX includes free upgrades to the most current version.
